Cathy leads the PSRi efforts, recruiting Engineering, Software and Information Technology Professionals
for some of California’s most exciting companies. In 1995, Cathy founded Pacific Shore Resources, inc.
to provide a more focused, personal approach to her clients. Her prior career accomplishments include building
and leading a team of 16 recruiters to the #1 ranked position in the country for a large, publicly traded
search firm. "I believe there is a need for recruiting firms to really get to know the goals of the people
and companies that we represent, and to respect those goals throughout the placement process. I am proud
to represent companies who are providing a top-notch opportunity to their employees. In addition, it is
rewarding to watch candidates grow and develop throughout their careers…and to know that we have been a part
of that success!"
Cathy earned her BS in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from Penn State University. After answering an
ad for Engineering Recruiter, which she expected to do while “looking for her real job”, Cathy caught the
recruiting bug and has been recruiting technology professionals ever since! She is the mother of three
teenagers--her inspiration for success. She enjoys the time she spends with her family and understands the
need we all have for a rewarding life outside of work. Some of Cathy's most rewarding moments are spent with
family and friends, cooking, day trips, wine tasting and just enjoying life. Cathy is responsible for client
development and direct recruiting activities as well as providing positive, committed leadership to the
company.
Mara McElroy
Mara's career in recruiting spans coast to coast! She has passionately recruited Engineering, IT and Software
Professionals with some of the country's most respected companies in her 15+ year career. As anyone who has
been associated with Mara knows, she brings a refreshingly direct communication style to the table. She has a
way of developing lifelong friendships with her clients and candidates and is committed to seeing them through
to their goals--usually in the form of a new position or employee! "I feel fortunate to have a career that
offers so much in the way of personal satisfaction. I love knowing that I have done something to improve the
lifestyles of people I like and respect."
Mara enjoys the daily challenge of producing results for her clients and the fact that she learns something new
each and every day. To this day you will hear Mara proudly exclaim that she loves her job! You will usually find
Mara on the phone.... that is unless she's at home with her son, Tommy and daughter, Sunny or working on one of
her many interests--gardening, jewelry making, cooking, enjoying good food & wine, and Vegas!.
Kris Giannetti
Kris has recently taken over the research function at Pacific Shore Resources, where she is responsible for
finding new and creative ways to attract great candidates for our clients. From advanced internet search
techniques to direct sourcing and database management, Kris does whatever it takes to search out those tough
to find, but oh so valuable passive candidates. Kris earned her BS in Human Resources from Cal Poly Pomona and
her career includes several years in technology sales/sales management and marketing for several major Storage
Systems manufacturers. She brings a breath of fresh air and unending positive energy to all that she does.
In addition to overseeing the research and sourcing function for PSRi, Kris is a business entrepreneur and
for the past 8 years has owned and managed a successful Quilt shop in nearby Brea, Cozy Cottage Fabrics. Kris’
free time is spent with her family—a true soccer bunch with just about everyone in the family playing or
refereeing soccer each weekend—and many weekdays!
Ralph Ashbaugh
Ralph has a BS in Business Management from Penn State University. Ralph juggles a Sales career and handles the
accounting, equipment leasing, vendor relations and overall business management of Pacific Shore Resources.
Ralph came to PSRi with a successful 10 year sales history with Penske Truck Leasing. "Working in the technical
recruiting industry has been a real eye opener for me. The volume of technical positions out there now…and for
years to come is astounding! It's really a privilege, as well, to be part of an organization that is committed
to service and who doesn't just pay lip service to the concept of teamwork. By working together, we can achieve
a win/win/win situation: for Candidates, Client Companies and PSRi!"
Ralph is an avid sports fan and on weekends, is usually tuned into a Pittsburgh Steelers or Penn State
Nittany Lion football game, working around the house or spending time with family.
