Cathy R. Ashbaugh, President

Cathy has been recruiting Software and IT Professionals in Southern CA for almost 20 years. In 1995, Cathy founded Pacific Shore Resources, inc. to provide a more focused personal approach to her clients. Since that time, PSRi has grown in size and in stature with $1MM projected revenue for 2005. Her prior career accomplishments include building and leading a team of 16 recruiters to the #1 ranked position in the country for a large, publicly traded search firm. "I believe there is a need for search firms to really get to know the goals of the people and companies that we represent, and to respect those goals throughout the placement process. I am proud to represent companies who are providing a top-notch opportunity to their employees. In addition, it is rewarding to watch candidates grow and develop throughout their careers…and to know that we have been a part of that success!"

Cathy received her BS in Engineering from Penn State University in 1983 and has been a recruiter ever since! She is the mother of three children-Alex(15), Michael(13) and Andie Rae(11)-her inspiration for success. She enjoys the time she spends with her family and understands the need we all have for a rewarding life outside of work! Some of Cathy's most rewarding moments are spent volunteering in the schools and sports in her hometown of Yorba Linda. Cathy is responsible for direct search and placement activities as well as providing positive, committed leadership to the company.

Mara R. McElroy, Sr Technical Recruiter.

Mara's career in recruiting spans coast to coast! She has been placing IT, Engineering and Software Professionals with some of the country's most respected companies in her 15+ year career in the search industry. As anyone who has been associated with Mara knows, she brings a refreshingly direct communication style to the table. She has a way of making friends with her clients and is committed to seeing them through to their goals--usually in the form of a new position or employee! "I feel fortunate to have a career that offers so much in the way of personal satisfaction. I love knowing that I have done something to improve the lifestyles of people I like and respect."

Mara enjoys the daily challenge of producing results for her clients and the fact that she learns something new each and every day. You will usually find Mara on the phone....that is unless she's at home with her son, Tommy(8), daughter, Sunny(5) or working on one of her favorite  hobbies-gardening!

Ralph Ashbaugh, Recruiter/Business Manager

Ralph has a BS in Business Management from Penn State University. He handles the accounting, equipment leasing, vendor relations and overall business management of Pacific Shore Resources, inc. In addition, he has recently become more active in managing our relationships with major Career Web sites, such as Headhunter, Monster, Passport Access, etc. Ralph came to PSRi with a successful 10 year history with Penske Truck Leasing. "Working in the technical recruiting industry has been a real eye opener for me. The volume of technical positions out there now…and for years to come is astounding! It's really a privilege, as well, to be part of an organization that is committed to service and who doesn't just pay lip service to the concept of teamwork. Ralph, along with Cathy, spends weekends, weeknights, and just about all free time with his three children! The kids keep everyone busy with their participation in Baseball, Soccer, Football and Softball.  Ralph is an avid sports fan and on weekends, is usually tuned into a Pittsburgh Steelers or Penn State Nittany Lion football game (TiVo’d of course)!

Al Beardsley, Research Consultant.

Al Beardsley has more experience than all of us! In addition to having the honor of being father to Cathy and Mara (as well as 3 other children who are in the recruiting/sales industry in other areas of the country), he has been in the Sales and Marketing area for years. Al has an outstanding business sense and a sense of caring for the candidates and clients we represent. With Al's assistance, PSRi is able to contact many of the candidates in our database as positions arise--keeping them informed and evaluating them for potential interviews. In addition, Al constantly researches new and emerging companies to identify those who offer an outstanding career opportunity for our candidates. This way, he is able to keep the PSRi pipeline full of interesting positions!

Al lives in Laguna Woods. On the off hours Al spends time with his children and grandchildren, and enjoys classical music, sports and like the rest of us…Las Vegas! He can often be found preparing an incredible feast for the entire family. Yes, he is the chef of the family…too bad none of his children inherited this talent!
